About The Position

RQC, LLC is hiring several Pipefitter Helpers for ongoing work on a military base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Work is performed on the base and paid at the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the Puerto Rico military base. Pay is $16.20 per hour, plus benefits.

Pipefitter Helpers assist journeyman- and foreman-level pipefitters with tasks involving physical labor on an active construction site. The role may operate several types of construction equipment. Work must be performed using appropriate equipment and required safety practices in support of RQ’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• CPR certification, First Aid certification, OSHA 30-hour certification, and EM-385 are required; training can be provided.
• Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
• Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the job site, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years (or equivalent) of field or trade work with plumbing systems in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
• Government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
• Courses in construction or plumbing.
