About The Position

Pipe Welders perform pipe welding procedures on stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe using the TIG welding process. The position is located in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The listed rate is $52.00 per hour, with $180 per diem for those who qualify.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a pipe welder.
• GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (stick) experience.
• Ability to pass an X-ray welding test on stainless steel and copper-nickel in the restricted 6G position.
• Ability to pass a pipe welding test in the restricted 6G position on 5-inch schedule 80 carbon steel pipe. The test uses GTAW (TIG) for the root pass and an 11018 electrode for the fill and cap, to achieve X-ray quality.
• Must pass a drug test (HFT) and E-Verify.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, ascend and work at heights, and work under all weather conditions.
