About The Position

Environmental Air Systems (EAS), a full-service mechanical contractor and the leading HVAC Volumetric Modular Manufacturer and #1 Mechanical Contractor in the Southeastern United States, is seeking a Pipe Superintendent for its manufacturing shop. In this role, you will lead a team of pipe welders, pipe fitters, and pipe helpers in the prefabrication of industrial HVAC hydronic piping systems. EAS is skilled in producing on-site and off-site systems, as well as modular facilities, serving many mission-critical sectors. Envirotrol, an expert in DDC and PLC Building Automation and HVAC/R mechanical services in the Carolinas, provides solutions to control, optimize, and maintain large international corporations and facilities. Combined, EAS and Envirotrol are vertically integrated and serve markets such as Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Industrial Manufacturing, Power Generation, and Mission Critical Data Centers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision
• Familiarity with flowline manufacturing
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication methods
• Excellent time management skills and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Strong Interpersonal skills for coordinating teams
• Fluency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift

• Trade School completion preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation of industrial hydronic piping systems including chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water
• Prioritize safety and ensure the team completes audits and all EAS safety requirements
• Manage project schedules
• Maintain tool inspection reports
• Review submittments, installation, and operation manuals
• Interview and hire new employees to join the pipe department
