About The Position
Assists in the planning, the layout, fabrication and installation of hydraulic and pneumatic piping based on job specifications. This role involves measuring, cutting, fabricating, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipe, as well as installing piping and hardware using hand and power tools. The Pipe Fitter will review blueprints to understand requirements, assist in the layout and installation of hardware, and follow diagrams or blueprints to ensure proper hose connections. Repairing malfunctions is also a key part of the role.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or equivalent), two-year College degree (or technical school certificate); or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.
- Proficient knowledge in basic pipe fitting.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to follow basic hydraulic schematic drawings, and engineering blueprints.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Capable of working in a team environment.
- Ability to use hand and CNC pipe benders.
