About The Position

The PIO Installer is responsible for installing port installed accessories on new vehicles. Performance and efficiency of each installation is reviewed, analyzed and measured for continuous improvement. Individual must be able to work at a fast pace and be flexible if operation plan changes. Must be open to overtime when needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and understand SDS materials
Knowledgeable of every heavy and light installs
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Have general knowledge of automobile components
Ability to follow established guidelines and work safety
Ability to function within working conditions and physical requirements described above
Ability to communicate clear and concise instructions to other employees
Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
Ability to read, write and record and verify numbers 17 characters in length
High School Diploma/G.E.D
Valid Driver's License & Clear MVR

Responsibilities

Observing safety precautions, drives vehicle from the staging area into the Production Shop work area
Prepare vehicle for installation by pulling proper accessory part
Obtain and sign for appropriate materials sheets
Prepare accessory kits for installation
Install accessories according to manufacturer's instructions
Notify Quality Control Inspector once installation is complete
Correct any deficiencies noted by Quality Control before the vehicle is returned to staging area
Complete a defect tag if parts are defective and submit to Supervisor, for which part may be considered a warranty claim
Meet monthly installation production goals
Must have ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, squat, and lift up to 50lbs
Ensure installers are installing properly
When required, perform installations outside
Assist fellow team members to make sure quality is maintained, and installations are completed in a timely manner
Must be able to address issues with other installers
Communicate with Supervisor or Manager on any issue in PIO
Return vehicle to staging area
Assist in other departments as needed
Follow all safety and compliance standards
Observe all safety precautions, while working in the production work area.
Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follows all policies and procedures regarding safety.
Follow all safety procedures and bring all violations to the attention of management.
