Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to operate marine vessels safely and confidently
  • Strong situational awareness and sound judgment in varying conditions
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to collaborate with crew members and communicate clearly
  • Capability to perform basic mechanical or operational troubleshooting
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and navigate company vessels in accordance with regulations
  • Perform routine vessel inspections and coordinate basic maintenance needs
  • Communicate effectively with crew, dispatch, and shore personnel
  • Ensure safe transport of materials while maintaining operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for vessel operations
