About The Position

Steel Dynamics is seeking a Pilot to join their corporate flight department. This role supports a modern fleet, including Challenger 3500s, and operates with a strong emphasis on safety through a disciplined approach, crew coordination, and active participation in the Safety Management System. The flight department averages approximately 300 to 350 flight hours annually, with a flexible schedule that can vary significantly week to week. Most flights are scheduled about a week in advance, with rare short-notice callouts.

Requirements

• Holds at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating
• Possess a First Class FAA Medical Certificate
• Possess a valid U.S. Passport
• Previous Jet Experience

Nice To Haves

• Possesses a Bachelor’s degree (highly desirable)
• Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating and is type rated in the appropriate aircraft
• CL30 Type Rating strongly preferred
• 3500 Hours Total Flight Time

Responsibilities

• Assists the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
• Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command
• Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation
• Participates in the Safety Management System
