About The Position

Position will focus on education of current staff and orientation of new staff to the pediatric ICU. The position includes auditing and is part of the leadership team.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Current New York State Registered Nurse registration and certification or eligible for licensure in New York State
• Demonstrated clinical competence and in depth knowledge in specialty area
• Demonstrated effective leadership, teaching, research and communication skills
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for decisions
• Utilizes problem-solving and decision making skills
• Ability to identify problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to probe, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and speak and hear
• Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Access to information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties
