Pickleball/Tennis Hybrid Coach
About The Position
Join the team as an Elementary Tennis Coach, providing fun and engaging tennis classes for students in Grades K–3 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. The organization is seeking coaches and assistant coaches who are passionate about working with children; previous tennis teaching or playing experience is not required. The program promotes physical activity and skill development. Classes are held on weekdays between 1:00 and 5:00 PM, with possible weekend opportunities. Each class lasts 1–1.5 hours, and the flexible schedule is approximately 2–5 hours per week. The role is part-time and in person at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Training and coaching support are provided, with potential to grow into a Lead Coach role and opportunities to coach other sports.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Be reliable, positive, and willing to learn.
- Have good communication and classroom management skills.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to complete a background check.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- Tennis playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging tennis and physical education activities.
- Manage groups of 8–10 children.
- Set up equipment and take attendance.
- Keep classes safe, active, and enjoyable.
- Communicate with parents and school staff.
