About The Position

This position is for a Pickle Maker Laborer on the 3rd shift. The role involves performing all work duties safely, maintaining the Tyson safety culture, and receiving required training. The team member will be responsible for various tasks related to pickle preparation, ingredient handling, system entries, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Applicants will be considered for Labor level openings, with leveling determined by the availability of relevant labor level jobs. Tyson Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Willing and able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently walk.
• Work in wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
• Work in a work environment where the noise level is usually loud.
• Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work duties safely and maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.
• Receive training as required.
• Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.
• Assist in determining when the pickle will be made and how much is needed.
• Assist with retrieving ingredients from the warehouse daily.
• Assist with entering brine required into the system.
• Assist with following program instruction in preparing pickle.
• Assist with transferring brine from lixator tanks at the appropriate salometer level.
• Assist with scanning all ingredients with scanner before adding to the pickle.
• Assist with following process instructions as per the touch screen.
• Will be required to fill in as needed to drive a forklift.
• Assist with entering all required information into the Plant View/Safety Chain QA System if needed.
• Assist with scanning using the EIM system to the process orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor.
