About The Position
The Picker manages online pick-ticket orders from customers and management by physically pulling inventory from shelves to ensure accurate delivery of products to NetCost Market customers. The role includes packing orders, preparing them for delivery, loading orders onto trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Picker also supports product storage, dispatch, replenishment, and stock control while following health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and remain on feet for long periods.
- Positive attitude.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- Ability to work in a chilled or refrigerated area.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Experience working with an RF scanner.
Responsibilities
- Pull items from shelves according to required number, size, color, quantity, and quality.
- Ensure orders are accurate.
- Stage items correctly for delivery.
- Operate handling equipment while following safety regulations.
- Plan and monitor product storage and dispatch.
- Oversee stock replenishment.
- Monitor stock control systems and process specific orders.
- Help ensure NetCost Market goals are met.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety standards.
- Shrink-wrap products onto pallets.
- Load delivery vehicles.
- Pack orders as needed.
- Operate scanners to pick the correct orders and manage inventory accurately.
- Perform other general duties as needed.
