This role involves receiving coversheets and assigned carts for order series, logging into a voice system for directed picking. The picker moves carts through aisles, selects specified products and quantities, and places them in the cart. Smaller items may be bagged or banded. The picker verifies products during picking and potentially during packing. Daily production records may be maintained and reviewed by a supervisor. Upon completing a cart, it's returned to the staging area. The role may also include packing customer orders by verifying products against packing lists, selecting appropriate box sizes to prevent damage, and packing orders neatly and correctly, including specific procedures for fragile items like glass, small items, and liquids. Orders are packed upright, and proper packing procedures are followed. Errors in product selection or quality are reported or corrected before shipment. Packed orders are sent via conveyor to the appropriate location for sealing and then to shipment. Special orders follow a specific process. Empty boxes and packaging are disposed of properly to maintain a safe and clean environment. Participation in special projects and other duties as required is also part of the role. All positions are responsible for meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, complying with all company policies and procedures, including WorldWide Business Standards, and adhering to directives on workplace behavior.
