Picker/Packer - M-F 12pm - 8:30pm

Henry Schein•Fort Worth, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

This role involves receiving a coversheet and assigned cart for each series of orders, logging onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. The Picker/Packer moves the cart through product bin aisles, picks the corresponding products and quantities, and places them into the cart. Smaller items may be bagged or banded together for easier identification. The position requires verifying products during picking and potentially during packing. Daily individual production records may be maintained and reviewed by a supervisor. After completing the cart, it is returned to the staging area, and the employee may begin packing customer orders by verifying products against packing lists. This includes selecting appropriate box sizes, packing orders neatly and correctly to ensure quality (e.g., packing glass items in bubble wrap, bagging small items, bagging liquids, and packing items upright), and following proper packing procedures. Errors in product selection or quality must be reported or corrected before shipment. Packed orders are sent via conveyor to the appropriate location for sealing and then placed on the conveyor system for shipment. Special orders are processed using a specific procedure. The role also includes disposing of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Participation in special projects and other duties as required are also part of the role. Additionally, all positions are responsible for meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, complying with all Company policies and procedures, and adhering to standards of workplace behavior.
