About The Position
Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the PICC nurse is responsible for inserting PICC lines within the facility. The nurse advises and assists nursing personnel with monitoring PICC vascular access for compliance, complications, and removal to provide quality patient care. The PICC nurse ensures PICC insertions are performed in accordance with the facility’s standards and mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
- NIHS Scale and annual stroke education required.
- PICC education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Critical care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
