About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) nurse is responsible for inserting PICC lines within the facility. The nurse advises and assists nursing personnel with monitoring PICC vascular access for compliance, complications, and removal to support quality patient care. PICC insertions must be performed in accordance with the facility’s standards and mission.

Requirements

• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
• NIHS Scale and annual stroke education required.
• PICC education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities
