About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a piano teacher to teach and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, and helps foster their musical growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position also involves communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, and coordinating with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. The listed pay is $17.00 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $10.50–$22 per hour depending on background and experience. Musicians may use gig leave to take time off for a tour and return to their job afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.
Nice To Haves
- Further teaching experience with voice or related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
