About The Position
One Music Schools, through its branch Arts Academy in Oregon, is seeking passionate musicians to join their team and share their love for music. The role offers flexible scheduling, a fun work environment, and comprehensive support from an admin team that handles all business operations, including scheduling, marketing, billing, and event planning. This allows teachers to focus solely on instructing students. The academy provides a fully stocked incentive store for students, amazing performance opportunities for both students and teachers, ongoing paid training and career development, company parties, raffles, and industry events. Arts Academy is a music studio offering lessons on piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, and more, with locations in Tigard, Happy Valley, and Wilsonville. The facilities are uniquely decorated with themes honoring legendary music icons and are equipped with top-quality instruments and technology. The academy prioritizes creating an inspiring and exciting environment for students and offers various performance opportunities such as open mic nights, parades, community events, workshops, and two formal recitals annually.
Requirements
- Must be able to connect with people of all ages and skill levels
- Must be able to demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill level during an interview
- Open to first-time teachers and experienced teachers alike
- Must give a minimum of a 1-year commitment to teaching with us

Nice To Haves
- Degree in Music Education or Music Performance
- The ability to teach on multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Instructing students for 30 minute lessons
- Assessing new student abilities
- Creating lesson plans
- Preparing students for recitals
- Facilitating student participation in recitals
- Assisting students in reaching their goals for learning
- Communicating with parents/guardians on students progress
