About The Position

HaZamir Baltimore, one of 35 chapters of HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir, is seeking a skilled piano accompanist to support its SATB high school choir during rehearsals. Rehearsals take place Sundays from 3:45–5:45 PM in Pikesville. The accompanist may choose to work one hour weekly (preferred) or two hours every other week. Compensation is $55 per hour.

Requirements

• Strong piano proficiency, including the ability to play accompaniment and individual vocal parts.
• References required.

Nice To Haves

• Basic sight-reading ability preferred.
• Prior experience accompanying choirs or ensembles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide piano accompaniment for rehearsals.
• Play SATB parts as needed to support learning.
• Collaborate with the conductor and singers to create a strong rehearsal environment.
