Requirements

  • Maintain active standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Adherence to Bayshore ICS Policies and Procedures.
  • Participation in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties.
  • Maintenance of confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective and consistent manner.
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively collaborate with a team.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with secure email.
  • Commitment to continued learning.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current criminal reference check and vulnerable sector screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment of clients, establishment and ongoing evaluation and revision of treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans.
  • Maintenance of current accurate clinical records according to standards set by College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, documenting assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress and discharge plans.
  • Collaboration with other members of the health care team as needed.
  • Monitoring and support of Physiotherapy Assistants in a team environment.
  • Communication of pertinent information and recommendations to clients/care providers and providing education regarding treatment strategies as needed.
  • Observation of the performance of those assisting in the physiotherapy program and providing guidance as necessary.
