The successful candidate will assist the Laboratory Manager, lab instructors, and professors in setting up and tearing down Intro lab equipment. This role involves helping with the maintenance of equipment stock and the assembly of new equipment, as well as maintaining a clean laboratory environment. In the laboratory setting, the candidate will prepare laboratory equipment, demonstrate the proper use of laboratory equipment to instructors and students if necessary, and provide guidance on the safe and proper handling of equipment. Successful candidates will possess knowledge of concepts essential for Intro labs and the ability to acquire and analyze data to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment used. The role also requires attending weekly lab set-up and tear-down equipment meetings as needed to ensure the proper functioning of the Intro Physics Laboratory courses and potentially other courses utilizing Intro Lab equipment.
