About The Position

Altais is seeking a Physician to join their team, focusing on improving the healthcare experience by supporting physicians and enabling them to spend more time with patients. This role is part of a collaborative, purpose-driven group transforming healthcare. Altais Medical Group is a physician-led, team-based primary care model dedicated to patient-centered care, innovation, and evidence-based medicine. The Physician will manage direct patient care, implement evidence-based medicine, adhere to guidelines, and act as a patient advocate within the healthcare system. This position will also drive clinical initiatives, collaborate with health professionals, and utilize consultations or referrals as appropriate. The role involves health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, Annual Health Assessments, and Chronic Care Management. The Physician will collaborate with the clinical team to proactively address patient needs, leverage the EHR for patient care management, and promote effective patient communication, encouraging patients to be partners in their healthcare.

  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing circumstances and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust communication styles when working with patients, their families and colleagues.
  • Highly organized, strong time management skills and flexibility to manage multiple timelines and activities.
  • Board certification must be current.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience
  • Successfully completed residency in their specialty
  • Active and in good standing Medical Licensure in the state of California and Board Certified
  • Active and good standing NPI number
  • Active and good standing DEA number from US Drug Enforcement

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years professional experience working as a PCP
  • Significant experience working with an EHR, preferably Epic

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care as part of the treatment regime, identifying actual or potential risks based on patient screening data.
  • Collaborates with providers, ancillary personnel, community resources and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs, including collaborating with other health professionals, and utilizing consultation or referral as appropriate.
  • Leverages the use of the Electronic Health Record (“EHR”) to manage and improve patient care, workflows and clinical compliance.
  • Provides patient advocacy in the health care system to accomplish cost-effective care by coordination of health care services.
  • Promotes effective communication with patients and encourages the role of the patient as a partner in health care.
  • Provides call coverage for assigned Brown & Toland members 24/7, 365 days a year or participate in a call group.
