The Physician will provide daily management and treatment of patients at the Clinic/Practice. This role involves providing clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, and referral, as well as participating in the establishment of office policies, procedures, and medical protocols. The physician will appropriately refer patients to medical specialists, comply with BMA/BCHS policies and procedures, and utilize the program's computer system for charting. They will also comply with case management protocols and assist with the clinic/practice’s quality assurance and quality improvement plan. Collaboration with Administration is expected to ensure the program operates in accordance with appropriate medical policy and current professional standards. The role may involve participation in community events and public relations calls as time permits, and duties may occasionally fall outside of regularly scheduled office hours. Maintaining appropriate telephone contact with patients, payers, and pharmacies is also a key responsibility. Specific duties include performing various physical exams (Routine, DOT, Post-Offer, Executive, CDL, Annual, School/Sport) and potentially serving as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for drug screens or Director for on-site Laboratory services.
