About The Position

Corewell Health Family Medicine SJ is hiring a physician for their new clinic. This role involves assessing and monitoring the medical needs of patients, providing quality medical services, and ensuring coverage of caseload. The physician will also provide input into policy development, oversee delegated services, and evaluate educational needs. Documentation must be consistent with regulatory standards, and communication with the healthcare team is essential for continuity of care. The physician will act as a patient/family advocate and participate in process improvement activities, working towards financial and patient satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • Doctorate
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • LIC-Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan - Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency dictation available.
  • Experience with Abridge, a generative AI platform for clinical conversations.
  • Experience with EPIC EHR.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
  • Acts as a patient/family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
