Physician Hourly - Trauma Surgery
About The Position
The Physician will provide surgical patient care to Trauma patients. The role includes coordinating and delivering patient care, providing medical teaching, collaborating in research, and engaging in clinical care or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine. The Physician will also provide instruction through methods such as didactic, bedside, and clinical educational experiences, promote academic excellence and the health and wellness of Arkansans, and perform additional duties as determined by the position, discipline, and division. This is a temporary, fixed-term, non-tenure clinical faculty position in the Trauma Surgery Department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The position is not benefits eligible.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O.
- General Surgery Residency Training.
- ACGME-accredited Surgery Trauma Fellowship.
- Eligible for an Arkansas Medical License.
- American Board of Surgery eligible.
- DEA License or eligible.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care.
- Perform varied responsibilities in the area of patient care.
- Provide direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations.
- Engage in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine.
- Perform additional duties as determined by position, discipline, and division.
- Provide daily instruction using a variety of methodologies, including didactic, bedside, and clinical educational experiences.
- Promote academic excellence and the health and wellness of Arkansans.
