Physician - Virtual Health Assessment Team
About The Position
Oscar Medical Group is hiring a Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment Team. The role delivers care to patients through Oscar’s platforms by phone, video, and message, and provides supervision to Advanced Practice Providers. The position reports to the Director, Virtual Health Assessment. This is a remote, work-from-home role. Candidates must reside in one of the listed states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with a scheduled lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. One Saturday shift per quarter is required. The base pay range is $216,406–$284,032 per year, with eligibility for employee benefits, an annual vacation grant of up to 18 days, and annual performance bonuses.
Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Spanish fluency, determined by a proctored assessment.
- At least 3 years of experience in an outpatient family or internal medicine practice.
- Licensure in at least two core Oscar states: a Tennessee license and a license in either Texas or Florida.
- Active IMLCC membership or eligibility to apply.
- Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states with assistance from Oscar’s licensing vendor.
- Experience with value-based care documentation standards.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of telemedicine experience.
- Licenses in Missouri, Alabama, or Mississippi.
- Regulatory supervision experience with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants in accordance with state-by-state regulations.
- Provide virtual medical care by phone, video, and message in alignment with Oscar Medical Group guidelines, practices, and policies.
- Collaborate with medical assistants, registered nurses, and other providers across service lines.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
