About The Position

Baptist Health is a highly recognized healthcare provider in Northeast Florida, known for its commitment to patient care and its extensive network of facilities. The Baptist Medical Center Nassau is seeking a Nocturnist to join an established program. This role offers broad-based support to ensure excellent patient care within a 62-bed community hospital. The facility is equipped with advanced technologies, a state-of-the-art surgical center, and expert medical staff, serving the coastal communities of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. The position offers a 7 on/7 off schedule, with an average of 15 patients and 3-5 admissions per night. The physician will work within a 36-bed Med/Surg and 8-bed AAU unit, with extensive specialist support available. The enterprise is physician-led and professionally managed, operating within newly renovated, state-of-the-art hospital facilities.

Requirements

MD or DO degree.
Board Certified or Board eligible.
Active/Unrestricted medical license.
Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with 3 years of Hospitalist experience.
Interest in pursuing procedural skills set.
ACLS certification required.
DEA Controlled Substances Registration Required.
Licensed Physician Required.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License Required.

Nice To Haves

Over 5 years Internal Medicine Experience Preferred.
Over 5 years Family Practice Experience Preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent patient care as a Nocturnist.
Manage an average of 15 patients per night with 3-5 admissions.
Collaborate with extensive specialist support.
Participate in training for procedural skills such as intubation, moderate sedation, central lines, and chest tube/thoracentesis.
Maintain ACLS certification (training available).
