About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Physician specializing in Urology. The role involves ongoing monthly coverage, requiring 7-10 days of availability each month. The physician will be responsible for 24-hour on-call coverage, including in-house call, with a call ratio of 4-6 and an average of 2-8 call-back hours per day. The practice setting is inpatient/hospital-based, serving an adult population with 100% inpatient care and potential for outpatient procedures. The average patient load is 6-12 patients per day. The position requires proficiency in General Urology, Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), Advanced Endoscopic Techniques, Ureteroscopy, and Laser certification. The Electronic Medical Records system used is EPIC. Two on-site ambulatory Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) provide clinic assistance.

Requirements

Proficiency in General Urology
Proficiency in Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
Proficiency in Advanced Endoscopic Techniques
Proficiency in Ureteroscopy
Laser certification
Experience with EPIC EMR system
Ability to provide 24-hour on-call coverage
Ability to manage 6-12 patients per day
Must be available for 7-10 days of coverage monthly

Nice To Haves

Experience with ESWL available on Tuesdays
Experience with outpatient procedures

Responsibilities
