About The Position

This on-site, contract position is designed for a mid-senior level professional eager to make a significant impact in the neurosurgical field. You will play a crucial role in providing top-tier patient care while collaborating with a team of dedicated medical professionals. In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with complex neurological conditions. Your expertise will enable us to enhance our surgical capabilities, ensuring that we offer the highest standard of care. This role also presents an opportunity to engage in meaningful projects that contribute to patient outcomes and drive our mission of excellence in the medical community. The facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center, with a call schedule structured around 24-hour shifts, typically from 7 AM to 7 AM. During their shifts, neurosurgeons usually arrive at 7 AM to conduct patient rounds and receive status updates from the emergency room. Their responsibilities encompass both cranial and spinal procedures, though it is important to note that there is no involvement in aneurysm management.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Neurosurgery
  • Board certification in Neurosurgery preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a neurosurgical setting
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in neurosurgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the state of California

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of neurosurgical patients
