About The Position

Seeking BC/BE Thoracic Surgeons to join our team! This is an employed opportunity with Baptist Medical Group (a multidisciplinary medical group with over 1,500 employed physicians). The established thoracic surgery practice has strong referral relationships, advanced robotic capabilities, and close integration with Baptist Cancer Center. The primary facility is BMH - Memphis, a 700-bed tertiary referral center for a 26-hospital system. The advanced robotic surgery program utilizes two da Vinci Xi robotic systems in Memphis and one in DeSoto, with approximately 90% of cases performed robotically. There is no required ED call. The flexible practice schedule includes 3-4 OR days per week, multidisciplinary clinic participation, and dedicated outpatient clinic time. There is an established referral base with continued opportunity for growth across the Mid-South region. The team is supported by experienced APPs, first assistants, and specialized surgical staff. Physicians work closely with the Baptist Cancer Center and participate in multidisciplinary care alongside medical oncology colleagues. Baptist has a general surgery residency which offers opportunities to teach. The environment is described as collaborative and collegial with great physicians and an administrative team. As a not-for-profit system, BMHCC qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

• Willingness to teach
