About The Position

Fraser Valley Cataract & Laser (FVCL) is looking for an outgoing, personable, and organized Physician Relations & Marketing Coordinator to help strengthen our relationships within the optometry and healthcare community while supporting FVCL's marketing initiatives. This is a people-focused marketing role combining physician and referral relations, community outreach, event coordination, and hands-on marketing support. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, building professional relationships, making phone calls, coordinating events, and taking ownership of projects. You'll become a familiar and trusted point of contact for our referring clinics while also supporting newsletters, social media, marketing materials, campaigns, and other communications. This role would suit someone with experience in sales, business development, customer service, account management, hospitality, healthcare, event coordination, or marketing.

  • A valid BC driver's licence and reliable transportation are required for occasional referring-clinic visits.

  • Healthcare experience is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, social media, email marketing, or website CMS platforms is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring optometrists, physicians, and their clinic teams.
  • Conduct regular outreach through phone calls, email, and occasional in-person clinic visits.
  • Communicate FVCL's services and procedures to referring clinics in a professional and approachable manner.
  • Coordinate delivery of educational materials, marketing collateral, and appreciation items.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and develop new referral partnerships.
  • Track outreach activity and referral trends and provide basic reporting to leadership.
  • Support marketing initiatives promoting FVCL and BC LASIK services, including LASIK, ICL, Blepharoplasty, cataract surgery, and other services.
  • Assist with social media content, newsletters, email communications, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create and update basic marketing materials using Canva and existing brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate content days, including staff photography, video, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with website content updates and online reputation management.
  • Coordinate printed marketing materials and resources for referring clinics and community partners.
  • Follow up with patient responses that are left on Google Review and other patient review platforms
  • Help maintain a consistent and professional FVCL brand across marketing channels.
  • Take ownership of physician dinners, educational evenings, appreciation events, and other community initiatives.
  • Create invitations, manage communications and RSVPs, book venues, and coordinate event logistics.
  • Attend events and represent FVCL as a welcoming and professional host.
  • Coordinate post-event follow-up and track engagement.
  • Track basic marketing, outreach, and referral KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate physician and referral contact information.
  • Prepare simple reports and summaries for leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and marketing team members.
  • Manage assigned projects and communications from planning through completion.
