About The Position

A well-established, hospital-employed practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina is seeking a Pulmonary/Critical Care physician. MGC – Pulmonology provides clinic care and covers intensive care units at SMC – Church Street, SMC – Mary Black, and Pelham Medical Center. Physicians see an average of 10–20 patients per day in clinic with APP support and treat pulmonary and critical care needs, including lung and airway conditions, lung infections, tumors and cancer, and end-stage disease. The practice offers mentorship from seasoned physicians. The clinic schedule is Monday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.–12 p.m.; call is 1:6 covering Pelham Medical Center and SMC Mary Black. The role uses EPIC EMR and has access to an onsite cancer center with medical and radiation oncology. The opportunity includes $6,000 for CME, 30 days’ time off, PSLF-approved institution status, and an exceptional compensation package.

Responsibilities

See patients in clinic, averaging 10–20 patients per day with APP support.
Provide pulmonary and critical care for patients with lung and airway conditions, lung infections, tumors and cancer, and end-stage disease.
Cover the ICU at SMC – Church Street, SMC – Mary Black, and Pelham Medical Center.
Participate in 1:6 call covering Pelham Medical Center and SMC Mary Black.
