About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Physician for Pulmonary Medicine. This role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care in both office settings and through hospital rounding. The physician will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, prescribing medication or therapy, recommending lifestyle changes, explaining medical procedures and test results, consulting with other doctors, participating in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics, serving on hospital committees, and contributing to business development and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the physician practice environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to ECW, Cerner
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • See patients in the office.
  • Perform hospital rounding.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW).
  • Prescribe medication or therapy when necessary.
  • Recommend lifestyle changes to improve quality of life.
  • Explain all medical procedures thoroughly.
  • Explain test results and provide patients with plan of care details.
  • Consult with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs.
  • Participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics.
  • Serve on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested.
  • Seek to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the business.
