About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is actively seeking a full-time BE/BC Pulmonologist to join our growing team in DeKalb, IL. This role offers an even split between inpatient consultation and outpatient pulmonary service, with opportunities to manage sleep apnea patients. There are no critical care duties required. The position involves hospital privileges at NM Kishwaukee and is part of a physician-led medical group that emphasizes physician leadership, wellness, and work-life balance. The DeKalb County community is described as a warm and vibrant city with suburban sophistication, offering four seasons of recreation, arts, and entertainment. It is located 60 miles west of Chicago and is home to Northern Illinois University and Kishwaukee Community College.
