About The Position
Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a fast-growing practice in Detroit Lakes, MN. This role involves performing history and physical examinations, admitting, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients above the age of 12 who suffer from mental, behavioral, addictive, or emotional disorders. The practice is part of a multispecialty group and serves a region of 55,000 people. The position offers a flexible schedule, typically Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with a large behavioral health team including psychologists and psychiatric clinicians. There is also potential for outreach to other Sanford Clinics.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Psychiatry residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
- Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 30 patients in the last 12 months.
- Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 30 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months.
