About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Health team in Woodstock, IL. Requirements

MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
Strong commitment to patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Nice To Haves

Experience or interest in developing and/or providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Experience or interest in developing and/or providing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
Experience or interest in developing and/or providing IV Ketamine therapy.
Experience or interest in developing and/or providing Substance use disorder treatment and program development.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical coverage for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Deliver psychiatric emergency services coverage in collaboration with the care team.
Maintain an outpatient ambulatory clinic, offering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
Participate in call rotation; call coverage is 1:5.
Provide overnight call coverage on a 1:5 rotation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care.
Support program development and expansion of advanced behavioral health treatment modalities.
