About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon at Hancock in Bay St. Louis, MS. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South. This position involves limited call responsibility, seeing patients in the clinic, responding to consults on the floor and in the ED, and operating in the OR. The most common types of surgeries seen at Hancock include gallbladders, hernias, ports, biopsies, breast surgeries including mastectomies, and appendectomies. The role is within a community hospital that is part of a larger healthcare system, with excellent OR and hospital medicine team support.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner’s core values.
