About The Position

Health Solutions is a premier wellness center focused on whole person care. With over 400 employees in Southern Colorado, you would be joining a mighty team of support and administrative staff, clinicians, physicians, nurses, and others in our efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. We’re expanding and hiring a full-time Primary Care Physician to work at our Perry Hall location. Signing bonus available!

Requirements

  • Applicants must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Addiction Medicine preferred.
  • Current D.E.A. Certificate, Suboxone DEA, Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR), ACLS or Advanced Life Support within 3-12 months of employment, if appropriate.
  • Must be insurable under company-provided malpractice coverage.
  • Computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience caring for individuals with addictions, and severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Track record of working successfully as a part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in managed care environments
  • Spanish language skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and health-risk assessments for all age groups.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, imaging, EKGs, urinalysis) to support accurate diagnoses.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions (e.g., infections, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, COPD).
  • Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications, therapies, or other interventions as appropriate.
  • Provide preventive care, including wellness visits, vaccinations, screenings, and routine check-ups.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy habits, and self-care strategies.
  • Refer patients to specialists when advanced diagnostics or higher-level care are required.
  • Coordinate care across specialties and healthcare settings to advocate for patients.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records and documentation supporting medical necessity, risk adjustment, quality metrics, and compliant billing; collaborate with billing and quality teams as needed.
  • Meet productivity, patient access, and panel management benchmarks aligned with organizational and payer requirements.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards and medical ethics guidelines.
  • Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice.
  • Participate in acute care situations and practice protocols (e.g., urgent triage).
  • Collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Contribute to clinic management tasks, quality initiatives, and workflow optimization.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and data-driven initiatives to enhance patient experience, outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver care in accordance with evidence-based guidelines, clinical protocols, and payer standards; participate in quality reporting and performance improvement activities.
  • Stay current with medical research and guidelines in family practice through continuing education and integration of evidence-based care.

  • Competitive pay $240,000 or as determined by experience and credentials.
  • Signing bonus of $5,000 after successful completion of orientation, $2,500 after successful completion of 1st year of service, and $2,500 after successful completion of 2nd year of service.
