Physician - Pediatrics (0.8 FTE)
About The Position
Hennepin Healthcare Department of Pediatrics is currently seeking a 0.8 FTE primary care physician to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the nursery team and the primary care clinic's downtown location. The Department of Pediatrics provides primary care for infants, children, and adolescents through young adulthood. They have a partnership with the University of Minnesota for specialty care and in-house specialists in various areas. The department also includes a Level 1 pediatric trauma center, a pediatric intensive care unit, a pediatric inpatient unit, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Hennepin Healthcare is a teaching institution, and academic appointment to the University of Minnesota may be included.
Requirements
- Current (or eligibility for) license to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota
- BC/BE in Pediatrics by time of hire
- If BE, certification is required within 4 years of training completion

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care of our patients from birth through young adulthood
- Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical settings
- Participate in education of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Engage in quality improvement and research projects
- Participate in departmental meetings, division activities, and conferences
- Provide care that is family centered, equitable, and trauma-informed
