About The Position
The West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks an Outpatient General Pediatrician to practice in South Charleston, WV. At Thomas Health, we are two hospitals with more than 30 locations, 450 providers, and 1,700 employees, striving to be the best community health system in the region. The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s largest health system and the state’s largest employer, comprising 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states, five institutes, and providing management services for other local hospitals. The Health System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care and operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children’s Hospital in September 2022. Today, the WVU Health System has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. Anchored by a 700-bed academic medical center in Morgantown, the Health System includes more than 20 member hospitals that collectively serve a multi-state region.
Requirements
- Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
- Successful candidate must have completed pediatrics residency program.
- Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in pediatrics.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
