About The Position

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care physician to join a growing program and deliver compassionate care across the continuum for the children and families of West Michigan. This collaborative team has support throughout the Corewell Health system and engages in clinical excellence, education and academic engagement, research and scholarly activity (particularly with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and the Van Andel Research Institute), and advocacy for patients and families. The program includes a robust inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, and home visit capabilities. The multidisciplinary team consists of 3 physicians, a nurse practitioner, a social worker, and a nurse. There are growing collaborations with NICU, MFM, BMT, PHO, and cardiology. The position offers a dedicated Pediatric HPM Fellowship track, partnership with a state-wide Pediatric Hospice program, and teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and students. The schedule is Monday-Friday with variable weekend call/night call shared with APPs.

Requirements

• Completion of Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship
• BC in Pediatrics
• BC/BE in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine
• Physician MD/DO license in Michigan or eligible for medical licensure
