About The Position

The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for a Per Diem Pediatric Electrophysiology position. This role is open to candidates eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The selected candidate will primarily practice at the WVU main campus in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will join the dynamic and expanding Division of Pediatric Cardiology, serving a diverse patient population at WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital and across the state through a comprehensive outreach program that includes diagnostic testing at various outreach clinics. The division has specialists in fetal cardiology, general pediatric cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, noninvasive and invasive electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, and preventive cardiology.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent
  • Eligibility for a state medical license
  • Completion of a Pediatric residency program and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship program.
  • Additional formal training in pediatric electrophysiology is required
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
  • For consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, candidates must demonstrate a track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care in pediatric cardiology with a specialization in electrophysiology.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
