About The Position

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking a BE/BC Otolaryngologist to join a growing program. This is a high volume general ENT practice with the opportunity to provide sub-specialty services and customize your practice. The position includes 2 days per week of OR block time in a facility with 10 ORs, supported by two audiologists and one APP. There is a large primary care referral base serving a population of 142,000. The hospital is an 118-bed facility with a 14-bed ICU and is a Level III trauma center.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated residency in Otolaryngology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
Demonstrate at least 50 otolaryngology procedures in the last 12 months (either via residency log, quality profile, or documentation of clinical setting activity).

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination.
Admit patients (if applicable to setting).
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation on comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages presenting with diseases, deformities, or disorders of the head and neck that affects the ears, nose, throat, respiratory and upper alimentary systems, and related structures of the head and neck.
Provide head and neck oncology and facial plastic reconstructive surgery.
Treat disorders of hearing and voice.
