About The Position

The otolaryngologist will see a variable number of patients per day, depending upon the types of appointments scheduled. All visits are supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice uses the MDLand EHR. The physician will work with a majority Chinese-speaking patient population and must be fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.

Requirements

• New York medical license
• DEA
• Board Certified / Eligible, Otolaryngology
• must speak Mandarin or Cantonese fluently

Responsibilities

• treat conditions of the ears, nose, and throat
• examine, evaluate, and perform tests to diagnose degree of hearing loss
• examine, evaluate, and perform tests to diagnose degree of speech loss
• examine, evaluate, and perform tests to diagnose injuries to the larynx
• assist patients with a limited or altered sense of smell
• treat nosebleeds, infected mastoids, sinusitis, etc.
• treat patients undergoing tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies
• treat patients with tumors in the head or neck
• treat patients with defects in the ears, nose, or throat
• collaborate with and/or refer to other medical practitioners as needed
