About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is actively recruiting a full-time Ophthalmologist to join our forward-thinking practice. We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Glaucoma Specialist. This is an outstanding opportunity to build your career with the premier healthcare system in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. The practice is supported by a well-equipped, efficient Ambulatory Surgery Center near Lake Forest Hospital and is part of a successful and expanding multi-specialty physician group that promotes a collegial work environment, physician success, and compassionate care. The role involves joining 5 board-certified Ophthalmologists (2 General, 1 Retina, and 1 OculoPlastics) and is supported by 3 optometrists across all locations. Call responsibility is for only 1 hospital, Lake Forest Hospital, with nocturnal APP support providing on-site call coverage from 2:30 pm to 2:30 am, 7 days a week. The setting features state-of-the-art ophthalmic imaging in both ambulatory and OR environments.

Requirements

• BE/BC Ophthalmology - Glaucoma
• Full-time commitment

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care as a Glaucoma Specialist.
• Join a team of 5 board-certified Ophthalmologists and 3 optometrists.
• Participate in call responsibility for Lake Forest Hospital.
• Utilize state-of-the-art ophthalmic imaging in ambulatory and OR settings.
