About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Ob/Gyn physician for a fast-growing practice in Perham, MN. The clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Call is shared 1 in 4 with Detroit Lakes OB/GYN. There is potential for outreach to the New York Mills clinic. This is a multispecialty group practice that includes family medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and psychology, serving a region of approximately 15,000 patients. Outreach specialties available include Urology, sleep, dermatology, podiatry, cardiology, oncology, and nephrology.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
If not board certified at the time of application, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived.
Demonstrate competence and adequate volumes of experience to include 50 deliveries (including 5 cesarean sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (if applicable to privileges requested) in the last 12 months.
If just completed residency, provide residency procedure log and list of completed rotations.
If not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held, showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.

Nice To Haves

Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via waiver of eligibility process.
More education and experience may be required for more advanced practice.

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination.
Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care necessary to correct or treat female patients of all ages presenting with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and the genitourinary system.
Provide nonsurgical treatment for disorders and injuries of the mammary glands.
