About The Position

We are seeking a Physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology for a Locum Tenens position in Richland, WA. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient clinical coverage, focusing on OB/GYN patients. The position requires full-time commitment, approximately 35-40 hours per week, from September 1, 2026, onwards. The physician will manage a daily patient volume of around 20, covering a wide range of cases including low and high-risk pregnancies, labor and delivery, general gynecology, surgical gynecology, and emergency OB/GYN cases. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with 337 hospital beds, utilizing the Epic EMR system. Specialty backup from FPOB residents is available during OB rotations, and the support staff includes 13 PA/NPs, RN cohort support, and a minimum 1:1 MA-to-provider ratio. This coverage is needed to supplement existing services.

Requirements

Active Washington license or IMLC
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active DEA Certification required
BLS certification
Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN experience required (2+ years plus fellowship considered)
Ability to mentor/advisory support for new graduate providers and APPs

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage Monday through Friday.
Support APPs and midwives with complex patients.
Perform OB/GYN surgical procedures and flex into the OR as needed.
Manage labor and delivery patients including high-risk obstetrics.
Mentor and advise new graduate providers when applicable.
Handle emergent OB/GYN surgical cases from the ED including hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, D&C, ovarian cystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy.
