About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position in Obstetrics and Gynecology at an Inpatient facility in St. Louis, MO. The role is for supplemental coverage, with an ongoing need starting August 3, 2026. The physician will work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a) and be responsible for managing patient volumes of 40-60, including admissions and rounding on assigned and unassigned patients. The practice includes OBGYN, OB ED physicians, and OB Hospitalists, supported by APPs (PA/NP/Midwives) and 2-3 RNs. The case mix involves OB ED, postpartum OB/GYN complaints, and ectopic pregnancy management. The department has 12 beds and the hospital is Trauma Level I and PEDS Level I, and stroke certified. The EMR system used is Epic.
Requirements
- Active MO License or IMLC
- BC/BE
- BLS, ACLS
Responsibilities
- Low/high risk pregnancy management and FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB ultrasounds including Level I/viability and Level II/anatomic screening
- Amniocentesis
- Routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, C section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- C section decision making and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Surgical gynecology; Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation
