About The Position
This is a locum tenens position in Obstetrics and Gynecology at an inpatient/outpatient facility in Watertown. The coverage period is from July 15 to July 20, 2026, for supplemental reasons. The role involves both clinical duties and call responsibilities, with a beeper call type requiring a 30-minute response time. The patient volume is approximately 2 per day, with 2 phone consults and 1 admission. Rounding on unassigned patients is included. The position is supported by a team of 2 RNs, 1 PA/NP, 1 MA, and 4 office staff. The department has 10 beds. EMR systems used are Athena/MediTech. Hospital privileges are required, but temporary privileges are available.

Responsibilities
- Low/high risk pregnancy management and FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB ultrasounds including Level I/viability and Level II/anatomic screening
- Amniocentesis
- Routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, C section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- C section decision making and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
- Surgical gynecology including open, laparoscopic minor, and major operative procedures such as tubal ligation, LOA, chromal tubation, ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, and cystectomy
- Rounding on unassigned patients
