This position involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing medical conditions affecting women. The physician will monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, prescribe medications, and order or interpret diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include performing surgical procedures, referring patients to specialists, and participating in continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance skills. The role also entails directing and coordinating patient care activities, writing discharge summaries, conducting discharge planning, and communicating with primary care physicians for continuity of care. The physician will attend inpatient consultations, admit patients for hospital stays and surgical procedures, and participate in Independence Health Medical Group meetings, Leadership meetings, and Physician committees as requested. The work environment is modern, equipped with audio-dictation, EMR, and digital radiology.
