About The Position
Boston Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a OB Hospitalist/Laborist OBGYN provider to provide high-quality clinical coverage on the Labor & Delivery unit at our BMC-Brighton campus. Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current Massachusetts medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Commitment to providing equitable and culturally competent care.
Nice To Haves
- NRP preferred.
- Experience managing obstetric emergencies and L&D coverage preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, Triage, and Postpartum units.
- Manage obstetric emergencies, deliveries, and inpatient consults.
- Collaborate closely with midwives, physician assistants, nurses, and anesthesiology staff to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
- Document care in compliance with BMC and departmental standards.
- Participate in handoffs and maintain effective communication across the care team.
- Inpatient GYN consults and surgical management, as well as ED gyn consults.
